Warner Bates is excited to let the public know about an upcoming program being held next week at the Cobb County Superior Courthouse. It’s called, The Georgia Legal History Foundation Presents - Celebrating a Firm Foundation and Bright Future: Marietta’s Tales of Collegiality and Legal Excellence. The event, taking place on February 28th and March 1st, will feature seminars and presentations related to local history and outstanding achievements in the legal profession.
Our own Nancy Ingram Jordan will be a speaker at the event, where she will take part in a presentation related to her father’s work, entitled, “The Man, The Life, The Legend: A Tribute to Judge G. Conley Ingram.” Other topics include “Tales Told to Me From the Earlier Days of Our Bar,” “Marietta’s General Practitioner,” “Women of the Judiciary: Then and Now,” and more.
For members of Mercer University’s Georgia Legal History Foundation, registration is $145 with CLE credit and $80 without. For non-members of the Georgia Legal History Foundation, registration with CLE credit is $195 and $130 without, and includes a one-year membership and a subscription to the Journal of Southern Legal History.
